winter will not let go, or so it seems ...
so many are wondering if spring will ever get here,
and now with a new winter storm marching across our part of the country,
unlike many of you, i am hoping that maybe,
... just maybe
we will have one final and beautiful snow fall.
spring will be here soon enough and for those of you who are
anxiously awaiting the warmer days, take heart
... there's no need to doubt!
well, it's time again for another creative week at kim's cafe for texture tuesday ...
i could spend hours driving in the country and photographing barns of all shapes and sizes.
i chose this for the week's challenge.
first i converted the image to black and white, tweaked the contrast, and lighting,
after which i applied Kim's texture 'subtly yours' ...
set on overlay at 100% ...
it was easy peasy ... just as kim had asked for!
hope you'll come join us ...

DeleteHi Deborah! Love your blogger blog...the header of flowers is so springy!! Well, here we are with another snow maybe it's the last one for this winter...I do love the snow though. Your barn and snow photo is so pretty, and b/w is a nice way to present it. (My bloger blog name is Lavenderblue, same as the WP). Beverly
ReplyDeleteso good to 'see' you again, beverly, and thank you for the sweet comments on my blog here, and my barn photo!

Thank you for stopping by my site for Texture Tuesday and leaving such a nice comment! Your cover photo is just beautiful! So soft and pretty! Your barn photo is perfect in black and white...it gives me the feel of the cold and isolation.
ReplyDeletethank you, for the return visit, cindy, and your kind comment! :)
DeleteThanks for you comment on my barn photo from Kim's Texture Tuesday, and yours is spectacular!! Don't you just love these old, historical, country landmarks? So much character and weathering. They lend themselves so well to photography, and texture :) I won first place in our local winterfest photo contest with another photo of a barn, however, no texturing or altering was allowed. Again, beautiful job on this snowy barn.
ReplyDeletethank you, barb! and yes, i absolutely love the old historical landmarks! so fun to just drive to see what i can find!
Deleteyour comment is so encouraging, and how sweet for you to have won a winterfest photo contest ... must say, congratulations!!
