beginning again ....

sunkissed beauty
~Hello~

if anyone here still has me on their list of blogs they follow,
please do let me know below in the comments when you see this post.

i've missed so much the times i was here
but life has thrown me a few curves as they say,
yet i have survived!

i would love to know if anyone is still here.
i have missed sharing with those who visited me.

i found that i am unable to get to your blogs
by clicking on your names in the comments as before
so i have concluded that blogger has made some changes,
to which i will need to reacquaint myself with.

i haven't lost my love and passion
for capturing the moments of life
... large or small.
my 'friend' has been tucked safely away in it's case
and i'm truly anxious to begin again as time allows.

i hope this finds you all well and healthy in the world
in which we find ourselves in today ...

so much going on around us ...

so many changes ...

emotions are up and down ...

i am getting older now too ...

yet in the midst ...

I find rest.

i pray you do as well!

i am anxiously looking forward to
seeing some comments from you!

love & blessings to all,
~ deborah ~

texture tuesday muse || wise words eDition

a precious privilege

words to the wise are also words that make one wise ...
yes, i do love reading quotes full of wisdom for the soul!

this week i'm sharing a word of wisdom on a very simple image ...
wasn't sure how this would even turn out, and i would love your thoughts.
i took this while looking out a window of an old historical home
at our living history museum ... conner prairie.

i might add, if you're ever in indiana, it's a must-see for the whole family.
we really enjoy spending time there, and are looking forward to visiting again, soon!
and, without a doubt, it's the perfect place for photo opportunities!

this week i'm linking up with both
kim's cafe for texture tuesday,
and nancy's tuesday muse.

my texture recipe:
kim's  'anna'
blend mode to multiply at 45%
eraser tool used for clarifying curtain pattern

click on over to kim's cafe for more 'wise words',
she also has a give-away going on this week ...
and nancy's rural journal for some amazing photo inspiration!

want to thank you all, again, for taking the time to drop in ...
i so enjoy reading your comments and coming round to your sites.
i'm looking forward to seeing what you share this week, as well.

now, go make your day count!
blessings to you,
deborah

friday night scrabble and chik'n soup ...

photo-scrabble

it's friday again ... already!
do you ever wonder where the time goes, or is it just me?
it seems to fly right on by without a thought as to who it's leaving behind!
the time change was a bit more difficult this time around ... i suppose that could be part of the problem!

well, it's been a quiet week here around home and, unfortunately, my dear hubby came down with the flu!
i never like seeing him sick ... thankfully, it does not happen very often!
i'm doing all that i can to stay healthy and keeping those germs at bay!
i'll be spending tomorrow making homemade chicken soup to help him feel better.
it is a delicious recipe that a friend sent my way when i had pneumonia back in '86.
i've used the recipe ever since, making it for our family, as well as others when sick, and it always seems to help.

well, they do say that chicken soup is good for the soul! :)

it sure was a gorgeous day, today ... all that sunshine ... felt like the promise of spring,
but now we're under a winter storm warning, and expecting 6 to 9 glorious inches!!
yes, i love the winter months, and the snow that comes right along with it!
you never know though, our weatherman has been wrong before ...

i can only hope!!

curious about the photo above?
well, tonight we played scrabble ... one of our favorite games.
any scrabble players out there?
we like to bend the rules a bit, so we pick a theme and work at creating the words to go with it.
bet you can't guess what this theme was!  :)
it was a bit difficult, and we had to trade out some letters, but for the most part, everything seemed to fit tonight.
we may get snowed in for a couple of days ... suppose we'll need to decide on another theme, and quick!

hope you all enjoy the weekend ...
maybe i'll get some 'end of the winter' photos to share!

blessings to all,
xoxo
