we have just been through an early spring snow,
and i must say, it was absolutely beautiful!
and i must say, it was absolutely beautiful!
things are beginning to warm now, and the melting has begun,
but spring has yet to blossom here ...
still my heart is so very grateful for all the blessings we do have!
but spring has yet to blossom here ...
still my heart is so very grateful for all the blessings we do have!
since there are no flowers peeking through just yet,
i pulled one of my favorites out of the photo archives.
this is the same image that i used in my banner at the top of this page,
only, to this one, i added two of kim's gorgeous textures:
cherish . soft light . 100%
edith . multiply . 50%
i also used the eraser tool over a few of the petals
to add softness and to lighten them up just a bit.
jump on over to 'the cafe' and take look at more 'flower power'!
it just might help to get rid of those winter blues ...
and come join in if you have some flowers to share!

have a blessed week,
and, spring or not,
i hope you'll have the sunshine to enjoy!
xoxo

Gorgeous Deborah! I hope to see you on Friday :)
ReplyDeletethank you so much, mona ... and i am hoping to participate this week! :)
DeleteThese blossoms are so delicate, and hopeful that spring warmth is right around the corner. You have edited these to perfection - so dreamy. The snow was so beautiful, although I wasn't moved to take more pictures of it...living in here I've learned how much snow can disappear so quickly, and this time we all hope for that. Wishing you and your family a Blessed Easter this Sunday!! Thank you for your lovely visits!
ReplyDeletewhat a blessing your comment was to me about this image, beverly!! thank you so very much!! yes, i too had taken a few pictures of that beautiful snowfall we had, but i have yet to upload them. i am sure we've seen the last of it ... well, i think so, anyway! lol! i am looking forward to a slow warm-up into the summer months ... i'm not very fond of the humidity that we have here! and, we will most assuredly have a Blessed Easter Sunday ... i'm looking forward to it, and i hope the same for you, and yours, as well!! xoxo
DeleteThis is a really beautiful image. I love the softness, and the use of the quote is lovely.

ReplyDeletethank you so much, rosie! :)
DeleteLovely shot how you captured the pure whiteness in it's color and such a softness adds a calming look -- I really really like this photo image and the quote is so true..
ReplyDeleteHugs
This is lovely. I always forget about using the eraser tool or even mask tool when I edit my pictures. Thank you for the reminder of the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteThank you too for your kind comment. We too are waiting for Spring to commit to full time. We had snow last week but it warmed up this week and the flowers are starting to brave the weather.
